How Is It Used?
Sure a phrase may "read" cool, but how is it really used? In what situation would someone yell it out? You can submit and catalog how the phrases are used along with their cultural references. The currently logged uses are listed below.
Said with a Spanish accent.
After a grand meal of enchiladas.
Can be used with David Ortiz (nickname is Papi) when he hits a home run.
When Ortiz goes deep, it's usually said as "Aye, Papi, I knew you could do that!"
When David Ortiz steals a base...if it ever happens.
I've never heard it said "...I knew..." It's always "I did not know." It just sounds lame the other way.
