If you noticed, all the people that say they know Neal, say what a great guy is is. Well add me to that list. I've known him for many years, all the way from Hawaii to Louisville. Look up "Great Guy" in the dictionary and you will find a picture of Neal. He loves sports and it shows.

I met Neil on a plane. I didn't know who he was or that he was on sports center. Anxious to be home & wanting to pass time I started a converstion w/ him. He was very nice & we talked the rest of the flight. So, I have to agree that he is a great guy! Also, funny...and cute!

Neil Evertt (Morf, as he was known as in College) was the coolest man ever -- helped me fit in when I was a Freshman and he was a Junior -- I love the guy -- everybody did -- especially the ladies -- ALL of them, sometimes together -- I've never seen his Sportscenter broadcast, but want to, but I'll tell you what -- he's the coolest cat ever in any and every surroundings -- and that's a guy who hasn't spoken to him in 20 years -- Neil (Morf), you're a God!!!

Back in the mid-80s, I met Neil working my first newspaper job in a small town on the Oregon coast. I knew him then as Neil Morfitt and he was the local radio station news guy. It was his first job, too, I believe. We used to sit around and talk about our jobs and I remember him saying over a beer one day, "someday we'll look back on this and laugh."

Neil Everett is the greatest anchor alive.

I've know Neil for about 14 years. I love his voice, but mostly, the way he treats people. He's a kind soul who holds a special place in my heart. Aloha, Bud!

BEST anchor on ESPN & wish he had more time-slots; I am military and wrote to him while overseas, he replied by e-mail and it made my tour! If anyone at ESPN reads this, he needs to be onscreen much more!!

I guess Im the only one who saw Neil say "the N-I-G-G-A word?" Or is that why everyone here likes him so much?

Neil Everett is so annoying. Sometimes i can not bare to watch sportscenter. He says stuff off the wall that has nothing to do with sports.

Agree with Dawn...I think Neil is hot too. Love watching his ESPN Los Angeles broadcast.

This guy is the worst. I can't watch SC when he is on. The schtick is worn out. Just give me the scores and highlights. Stop screaming "Look at me!!!!!!!!! I'm witty and funny!!!!!!!". He's even worse than Stuart Scott, and that's pretty bad.

I guess he doesn't understand he has a microphone and does not need to shout. I can only enjoy Sportscenter when he is not on.

Subject: Neil Everett is very good, maybe the best in the Biz today

Neil Everett reminds me of Howard Cosell.

I'm a lifelong sports fan and calling this one like I see it. Do you remember Howard Cosell? I liked him too, a lot, thought he was the best. Lots of people didn't. Cosell kept doing his entertaining job anyway.

Neil Everett comes on with massive energy, night after night. That's his show. If you don't like it, you probably didn't like Cosell either.

I like Everett's delivery. It has to be very hard to do that night after night.

While I'm less enthusiastic about some of the other ESPN anchors and announcers, I think they are all very good, but Neil Everett is the best.

Maybe you thought Bruno Kirby was doing a better job on Armed Forces Radio than Robin Williams on Good Morning Vietnam. That's your right to think that, but almost everybody else is entertained by Robin Williams, Howard Cosell, and Neil Everett.
